Dear expected guests,
We’ll soon welcome you at le Grand Bois. Before departure we would like to bring your attention to the following points.

Arrival time

You ‘re welcome at the free camping pitches from 14.00 untill 19.00. The safari and tunneltents and the apartment are available on Saturday from 16.00.
At the reception we ask that you show your passport and provide your car license plate. Please keep these handy when you arrive.

On arrival please park your car in the large parking area (entrance with the green beach flags) and not on the road which is too dangerous. Please register at the reception on the front side of the Inn.

The electricity points are spread around the camping site, and to use electricity we advise that you bring an extension cable of minimum 20 meters. You will also need an European adaptor. These are for sale for 15€. Safari and tunnel tents are equipped with electricity hook ups.

The sewage system

We are not connected to the local sewage system. We have an autonomous system with septic tanks and filtering system. This system is very vulnerable and needs to be managed with care. After filtering the water is directly returned to the natural area of the Grand Bois. We only use biodegradable soaps and cleaning materials. And we kindly request you to do the same.
To make this easier we sell these products at cost price.

To avoid disappointment for your little ones and with regards to safety please leave crocodiles, dolphins and other blow up devices and toys bigger than 50 cm at home.
The government is demanding improved hygienic conditions in the swimming area. We also need to ensure that hygiene standards remain high.
There are therefore a few house rules which we would like you to follow. During swimming, please wear official swimming costumes. Wearing shorts or sport trousers is not allowed.

You can nearly always enjoy a daily meal from a small menu at the restaurant. There is also the option to order a pizza at the bar.

Bread service

Bread ordered before 6 PM, can be picked up the next day.

Open fires are forbidden in July and August in this forest fire sensitive area. Please keep coal and wood BBQs at home.
Every Wednesday we organise a BBQ at the bar.

Campsite toilet

Camping toilet can only be emptied if you use biological degradable fluid due to septic tank installation.

Due to the altitude of 650mtrs nights can be cold, we advise you to bring a warm jumper.
